Its Slingo on the Go!!,

= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Slingo Quest (Nintendo DS) (Video Game)
Slingo finally did it this time! After years of being locked up on the PC, playable only at the Slingo web portal, Slingo has finally made the jump to the Nintendo DS with their award winning casual game Slingo Quest. Sure the graphics are cutesy and the sound track is bouncy and repetitive, but that is three-quarters of the fun of a game like Slingo. It is about mindless entertainment that puts the player, armed only with some super-jokers and some Cherubs, against 60 levels and the accursed point-stealing Devil. Luck determines your actions, but your skill will maximize your score as you tirelessly pour through the 10 enchanted islands of Slingo Quest. The game play is the Slingo-standard of matching the numbers that appear in the slot reels to the matrix above, but this time you can use the DS stylus to take spins and make matches. Not only is the game play enhanced, but there are all kinds of new game modes to play and powerups to obtain that allow you to bounce Slingos off of the sides of the board and even get all of your spins for free! Take that "Darn Devil"!! Overall the game is repetitive, but after 15 years of Slingo games thats half the appeal. It is the best way to kill 10 minutes and it is certainly not your grandmother's Slingo. This is a must have for Slingo fans who want to pull themselves away from the computer and play Slingo on the go.

Simple but addicting,
By MIlitary wife "Mom of 4" (Japan) - See all my reviews
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Slingo Quest (Nintendo DS) (Video Game)
I didn't actually know what I was getting when I ordered this game and when I opened it thought I would be bored within the hour but it turns out to be an amazingly simple yet addictive game as you rush to find the bingo like numbers that are dealt to you with every "spin". It is easy enough for my 5 year old to play although she doesn't make any high scores, it does give her practice to find double digit numbers like a matching game. Since you are given bonuses for finding the numbers quickly and no penalty for taking a long time, she is content enough to go at her own pace. Considering I use my DS to entertain them while waiting in lines, it is nice to have a game that we can both play.

Bought this because I used to enjoy playing Slingo on-line several years ago. It is fun and engaging, not very taxing mentally, but still addictive.
