In drag racing's classic era Steve Reyes was considered the sport's greatest action photographer, mesmerizing fans every month with his work in Drag Racing USA magazine. This book has hundreds of front-engined top fuel dragsters, the sport's most iconic class. Fantastic stuff and not to be missed. All the big stars and the lesser-known weekend warriors too. I lived through this era and saw many of these cars. This book is as good as it gets. A+.

In SLINGSHOT SPECTACULAR Steve Reyes once again shares some of his archive of images from what is now called the 'Golden Era' of drag racing. I spent many a weekend standing next to Steve at numerous drag races and it's truly a joy to look at this well produced book. If you're a drag racing fan, this is a must have book.

Thanks a lot Steve. There's nothing like the old slingshots. If you were a rail guy or wish you were, kick back and crack this baby open. Hear the sound. Smell the smoke and nitro.

Steve Reyes offers a glimpse into an incredible time - The evolution of dragster design was a 'seat of the pants' venture by individuals rather than engineers, and Steve was there to record every step of the way. He has an uncany knack to be in the right position to capture not only the action at it's peak, but the images tell the story as well. I lived that era and took countless rolls of the drags in the Northwest, but am in awe of this talented man.

Having built and driven a slingshot rail back in the day, it was great to see all of the pictures of old slingshots!
