The slinky pop tube is cute and fun to play with. My problem is the deception on the page where I purchased the item. THe picture shows a box of 10 or so pop tubes. There is a second picture of a child playing with them and he has three or four pop tubes hooked together. Imagine my surprise when I opened my package and found one lonely pop tube! I went back to check the add, and yes, down in the fine print it does state "price is for one". This statement should have been much more prominent and there should have been a picture of only one tube! The tube itself feels like a nickels worth of plastic. I feel I was deliberatly misled. Very unlike Amazon, which I have great respect for.

My son, Danny is autistic. He loves toys with texture that he can shape and mold. This toy fits the bill, but he's really hard on it and within a few hours has taken all the slink out of it. No worries, I just have lots of them on hand.

I should have ordered 100, they are so useful in many ways doing physical therapy with children--I wish I had them when I did physical therapy with adults.

I am like other customers. I am incredibly disappointed in this product. I have purchased boxes of 24 of these in the past few years, from other companies, for preschool and development centers and spent less than $20 for an entire box of 24. I was shocked to discover the price of one was so expensive and totally not worth the cost. Over some time and use these toys will distort their shape and get kinks and smooshed which will make them no longer useable and fun. This is a fun toy but not you will not get enough fun out of them to justify the price. Don't waste the money-find them elsewhere for cheaper!

I was very disappointed when we opened the box and found only one toob. The photo clearly shows a box of 10? Not what I expect from Amazon. My grandson loves the toob.

We passed these out as party favors recently, and they were a big hit! They can be connected to one another, and they make a cool noise when lengthened (and again when shortened). My kids got a lot of use out of them. They can be "microphones" or "trumpets," can be used in the bath, with marbles, etc. The birthday child was 5, but siblings as young as 2 loved these "toobs" also. The colors are vibrant and the collection looked great in a bucket to pass out.

My 3 year old is Autistic, it helps work on his grip and hand/arm strength, plus he loves the sound and pulling it apart, so it's made for a pretty good toy.

I completely agree with another customer:

I thought i ordered a pack of three tubes and only one came in the mail. Had i know i would have never bought one pop tube for this price, i would have rather just gone to the local Walmart store and pick one up.

Warning, the quantity on this is ONE tube. However, the tubes themselves are awesome. You will spend a lot of money to get a full set but if you have a full set your kids will love them. At a young age they will like to expand and contract them to feel the texture and enjoy the sound. When they get older they will figure out that the tubes are connectable and you can make structures out of them. Get some styrafoam you would otherwise have thrown away and you can use that as a base for building larger "sculptures" out of these "toobs." I know these toobs are cheeper on Fat Brain toys, and I thought looking at the picture that I was going to be getting a larger quantity. However, the quantity was the same, one tube per unit price and on top of that I was charged seperate shipping charges for each tube even though they shiped both toobs in the same box. I'm sooooo angry I paid $13.30 for 2 toobs from them. If I would have known that was the case I would have ordered $25 worth of toobs from Amazon and gotten the free shipping, plus more than two stupid toobs. Learn from my mistake and just order from Amazon.
My son has played with these toys at the Armed Services YMCA playgroup and when he does he tends to get possessive over them so I wanted to get a set for home. Any time a kid pulls them out all the kids tend to flock to them. If you are ordering a bunch of other stuff it wouldn't hurt to add 2 of these to the order just to have them. Even if a small child chews on the end of the toob they still function in the slinky capacity for texture and sound play. Also, for immaginative play as they grow older. A knight's sword or a queen's crown etc. There are any number of things you can do with these little things. But it is frustrating that you have to order these things seperately. However, apparently only Amazon gives a good deal on the shipping.

Bought this for my neice who is autistic. She loved it, so I ended up buying more and found out that my son loves them too!
