Slinky Dog Bank Toy Story and Beyond

My daughter had a slinky dog when she was little and has always wanted another. I saw this and knew she would love it. She did like it but was a little dissapointed when she realized that the slikny part doesn't move like her old one. The center where the slinky is hold the money in a plastic tube, so the springs only go back and forth, instead on up and down like the origional version. On the up side that is where her old one broke, so I guess it's a good thing. Cute toy.

My 3 year old son can quote this movie verbatim. However, this is his favorite line in the movie. Our house LOVES the "Toy Story" movies. Therefore we had to have Slinky Dog the bank. My son is learning to recognize the different coins as he puts them into his bank. So I guess it does have some educational value. You have 2 methods to put the coin in Slinky. You can place the coin on his tongue and pull his collar to have him lick it up or you can use the traditional slot like most piggy banks have. While the tongue thing is cute, it does not always work correctly. Overall I would recommend purchasing this item if you are a fan of the "Toy Story" movies.

I just got this in the mail. It's cute because you can put a coin on the dogs tongue and pull the collar and it swallows the coin but I am afraid it looks like it might break, there's another part where you can drop the coin in the slot like regular piggy banks so if the tongue breaks you can still use it. I've been thinking about getting a piggy bank for my 3 yr old son for quite a while but never think about it while I'm actually shopping so I just happened to notice this when I was browsing the toys outlet here and figured I can't go wrong for $[...] and some change and it was that free super saver shipping or whatever it's called. So like I said I just got it but as far as I can tell now it's a good, cute little toy and you can't go wrong for $4 and my son loved it and is looking all over the house for change. I'd definately buy it again if had to do it over again especially for $[...] and free shipping.
