4.0 out of 5 stars Slip N Slide: An oldie but goodie
I remember loving this when I was a kid, so I figured it would be great for my 4 year old's birthday party. Although it took a while before the kids really figured it out, they all had tons of fun with it. Of course, I had to give it a try (I still got it!!). Although the pegs didnt all stay in the ground, the slide still held up over all. I expected the thing to be...

2.0 out of 5 stars Short-lived fun.........
Last year I had one of these and my boys (aged 4 and 2) used it endlessly. It finally tore and got tossed at the end of the summer. Bought a new one, same style, this year and it lasted ONE DAY. In fact, I suspect it was beginning to tear when I took it out of the box. So, if you buy one, check the edges near the hole at the inflated end of the slide, where the stake goes...

3.0 out of 5 stars Hours of fun, but won't last more than 1 day!, July 1, 2005

The slide was already ripped when I took it out the box - by the stake whol on one of th sides. I didn't have time to return it because the kids were already in bathing suits ready to go. The kids had lots of fun (5 hours), but the slide totally ripped and is now useless. They need to make them more durable.

I bought this yesterday, and in less than 1 hour it had popped. I don't recommend this slip and slide.

Wow. I don't understand it. The slip and slide I had as a kid (whamo brand, mind you) lasted all through my childhood. Bought this for my daughter. On the first use one of the holes where the stake goes in ripped. On the second use all 57 punds of her was sliding down and when she hit the "splash pool" one of the sides popped! The way I figure it has two more sides to pop so it should give her another two uses. Sheesh this product sucked on durability!

I would definitely recommend it for children of this age.

I just bought one for my two daughters (5 and 2 1/2) and they love it. They haven't quite figured out how to run and slide down it yet, but they love running through it and scooting along.

It doesn't look very durable and leaving out in the sun will probably weaken the plastic, but for about $5.00 I'm not concerned.

The product performed less than adequately. The children were frustrated by the perfromance.

I recall the original when I was a child and it was quite fun. I suppose this particular design didn't receive test market data review before it was put out for manufacturing.

I am in sunny and hot San Antonio so it is critical that these type of toys work so that kids will cool off and have fun. This toy did not do this.

On a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the highest rating I give it a 1 at best. I would not recommend it for others to buy.

Wham-O Slip 'N Slide Wave Rider with Bonus Slide Boogie My granddaughter had a lot of fun playing on the Slip 'n Slide, but we found that the bonus slide boogie didn't work well at all. Another problem is the strip from where the water sprays. It rolls under and doesn't spray all that well (not as shown in the picture). My husband finally used a hose to add a light spray.

Great item despite other reviews. Fast shipping and lasted even though children and adults both used these.

Very nice toy for the younger set. Not as fancy as some of the slip n' slides on the market but done those and found them to be more combersome than fun. So this product is great for 3 to 6 year olds. We use the Little Tykes slide to add to the fun and my 4 year old stays entertained for a good while. I have it on my grassy area and it's been on small sticks without any problems. So buy this product and let the fun begin!!
