I found this great mat in a big box chain store a few years ago and bought another a year ago here on Amazon. The mat is really the best! It feels just wonderful on your feet as you shower and has the added advantage of effortlessly scrubbing clean really dirty bare feet should the need arise, as it always does at our summer cottage. The older one still looks brand new. The mats just don't wear out. Ya can't kill 'em! I am most grateful they'e still available. I googled "grassy mat" because I had no idea what to call it. Anyway -- it came right up. Hooray!

This is a great mat. It feels good under the feet. There are two downsides to this mat. One is that I spilled a drop of orange body wash on it and it stained. I could not clean the stain even with bleach. The other down side is that long hair gets stuck in the mat. Despite the above mentioned issues, my husband and I love this mat and will continue to purchase it.

Was very happy that the product arrived well packaged, but when I opened it a terrible smell, which I suppose is the plastic material it is made of, came from the grassy bath mat. It didn't go away even after using it for two weeks every day and washing it three times in the hot cycle. Too bad because the mat without the smell is fine. Unfortunately the pungent odor doesn't go away.

I love the grassy mat for the bathtub. It works real great. I would not advise a diabetic to use this mat if they have sensitive feet.

I first "experienced" this bath mat while visiting family out of town. After driving 5 hours and visiting late into the night, the bath mat felt so good to my tired feet - I had to have one for myself! Not only does it feel great, but it is so easy to take care of. I have told several family members about it so that they can enjoy it too.

I purchased two other bath mats that are just like these but I needed more, although these are not the same as the first two I ordered I really like them. Not only are they larger but the grass is super soft and there seems to be more of it. I use these to create a soft non slip surface in the tub for my infant son. They are machine washable too. I also put them in the sink when I give him a bath there. The grass part really helps keep him from sliding unlike traditional smooth grass mats. Yes, a slight plastic smell at first but I assure you it goes away:)

Somehow I find the grassy bath mat very "comforting". It makes me feel secure in the shower, cleans the bottom of my feet, and stays fresh and clean looking. To me, it really does have a strong chemical smell, but my husband says he cannot even smell it.

... I did not take any points off for the strong smell, we like it so much otherwise, & besides, the smell reminds me to rinse the mat out and hang it on the line in the back out of my "smelling range". And - It's the super-best bath mat I have ever used!

I bought this bath mat for my 93 year old father so he could feel safe from falling in the bath tub. All of the bath mats I looked at before buying this one had only a little rough texture or tread that when covered with soap suds and water, still resulted in concern of slipping. My dad is pretty hard to please and he felt very comfortable with the grassy texture of this mat. He could sink his feet into it. I highly recommend it if you don't want your elderly parent falling in the shower or tub. And the cost was less than those generic ones found in all the major department stores.

It is true that this bath mat smells like a petroleum product, but after the third shower, I didn't notice unless I got very close.

I use this product to clean my feet by putting it down on the shower floor, adding Dial liquid soap and then sliding my feet around on it, one foot at a time, while holding onto the shower wall (all while the shower is on). Texture is soft, but strong enough to clean my feet ... I feel like I get them cleaner by using an antibacterial soap, and hanging the mat to dry between each shower.

There are better ways to clean your feet, but if you have limited arm dexterity you may want to try this method.
