Product Description
Slipknot Unmasked was the first major biography of the band, who had risen to chart prominence since the mid 1999 release of their self-titled album. Chronologically, it deals with the bands mid 1990s formation in Iowa and reveals previously unknown facts about their origins, the author having tracked down and interviewed two founder members and the producers of their first demo. They also provided exclusive pictures of the band for this book. It covers various personnel changes that have occurred over the years, their unique image (they wear masks and overalls) and their frenzied stage antics resulting in members injuring themselves. This updated edition brings the Slipknot story right up to date detailing their activities in 2001 and 2002, including the release of their platinum album Iowa which topped the charts worldwide, and produced several singles. The various members have guested on other artists records and big-selling side projects including Stone Sour and Murderdolls.
