3.0 out of 5 stars Trouble keeping them on chairs
We are using there on 2 recliners and a couch. For the couch they are working great because we were able to screw them down. For the chairs we stuck them to the metal bottom with the supplied double sided tape and it will not stay on. With all of the traction with the floor the joint with the chair keeps failing. These work well with preventing items from sliding but...

I bought one pack of these to try them out. I liked them so much have have bought additional packs.

Pros:

- durable

Cons:

- much pricier than felt pads

- can't trim them to the size of the furniture feet like you can with felt pads

These Slipstick gripper feet are great for furniture that you want to stay put most of the time. I put them on an arm chair and associated ottoman. Now the ottoman isn't always sliding away from under my feet! The ottoman is still slidable by hand, but stays put when I want it to. Just the right amount of grip. These are not something you would want to have on kitchen chairs that are constantly being pushed in and out.

They are also very durable; they aren't going to wear out like felt pads. I like the option to screw or stick. Each foot comes with a double-sided stick foam piece attached. Very easy to attach quickly or very securely. I have found that the quick stick works for me.

My only complaint is that my chair legs are a little narrower than the feet so the feet stick out a bit. It isn't too noticeable, but I would like narrower ones.

5.0 out of 5 stars firm footing, August 24, 2008

my kitchen chairs were making circles in the vinyl tiles. these things fixed that. they also do just what is claimed on the package. the chair is anchored to wherever it's put. no sliding around. they are quite easy to put on with a little hammering. i will buy more from this company/brand when the need arises. very nice product.

p.s. the grippers make noise while resisting being slid and thus my kitty gets nervous when i drag a chair with these things on it across the floor. i am amused. my kitty is not.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fits the bill, December 8, 2009

I was looking for something to keep new sectional pieces from sliding around on ceramic tile flooring. The furniture came with nylon gliders on the bottoms of the wooden legs. I removed the gliders and attached the gripper foot with screws into the existing glider nail holes. Now the sectional pieces stay in place with a significant amount of resistance to lateral movement. For repositioning the furniture; just raise one side and it slides easily. This product did the trick perfectly.

For the chairs we stuck them to the metal bottom with the supplied double sided tape and it will not stay on. With all of the traction with the floor the joint with the chair keeps failing. These work well with preventing items from sliding but works better with larger furniture or things that are not used frequently.

5.0 out of 5 stars works as advertised, December 26, 2011

easy to apply and durable. Had my wood floors refinished and decided to get the best protection I could find. Very sticky so look for the felt pads if you want the furniture to slide easily.

5.0 out of 5 stars Non-stick; or, slide easily by removing the "O" ring..., October 20, 2011
Slipstick CB320 1-1/4-Inch Gripper Foot, Caramel

These pads are two piece, not counting the self-stick tape on the back. With the white rubber "O" ring in place, furniture grabs the floor; i.e., you have to pick up the chair/furniture to move it. However, if you remove the "O" ring (pry out with a tiny screwdriver) the pads will slide on the floor. E.g., our steel dinette chairs have a 1-1/4" foot cup designed to receive such pads. Using the included self-stick tape on the pad and no O ring, the chairs will slide around on our porcelain tile floor, if you give them a gentle push.

Lowes in our area sells these for about 1/2 the Amazon cost; in the hardware department.

5.0 out of 5 stars no more slip-n-slide!, October 3, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I've had these on my recliner for about a week now, and they've made a big difference over the felt pads I'd had before to protect my hardwoods. It doesn't slide across the floor every time I sit down now, which is a big improvement, but it's not stuck to the floor, either. With a little extra force, it'll slide, just not when I don't want it to. I'll likely end up with more of these for the rest of my furniture!

It is totally worth ordering these off of Amazon instead of just picking something from the local hardware store. It really gives stops the furniture from sliding on wood floors while giving the ability to move it when you want.
