Book Description

May 3, 2001
Three girls, a boat, a long vacation. Trouble? Sort of, but also memories, fun and friendship. Nina, Lou and Beth have just finished A levels and a life at school together. They set off, singularly lacking in nautical skills, on Nina's family barge, only reasonably shipshape itself.

3.0 out of 5 stars Too slippy for me - spoilers included., January 24, 2012
This review is from: Slipstream B (Paperback)
This book has lots of interesting points and possibilities, but I often got confused with the time lapses.

There are a lot of fun reminisces about boarding school and school days which will evoke a lot of memories, but some of the plot holes regarding Lou's older sister and the drama's surrounding her were massive.

SPOILER - if your 19 year old daughter was missing - parents would not be as low key as Lou's are.

SPOILER 2 - That Heather wouldn't recognise Nina, Lou and Beth is not logical.

The content is good but it just seems this book could have used a good advisor or editor.

I would like to read some of her other works though because I think Kate Bingham writes well.
