Customer Reviews

It was easy to install, fit perfect, and works.

Total time was about 15 minutes... but now that I know how to replace this unit, total time now I estimate less than 10 minutes.

The Flushmate toilet flushing system has been working very well for my business and I would highly recommend it.

There is not much I can say about this product. It was exactly what we needed to repair our Sloan Flushmaster pressure flush tank. I purchased the cartridge removal/installation tool that Amazon recommended as well. The product arrived in just a few days and I was able to replace the cartridge within minutes. The old cartridge was quite tight so it took a little muscle to break it loose. I followed the installation instructions, which were printed on the exterior of the plastic bag that holds the replacement cartridge.

Be sure to check model numbers carefully before ordering a replacement cartridge for your Flushmaster pressure tank. There are different model tanks and therefore there are different cartridges for the different tanks. I am very happy with my purchase of this cartridge. The original (factory installed) cartridge lasted for about 6 or 7 years so I have high hopes that I will not have to worry about this again for another 7 years or so. Thanks, Amazon, for helping me get the part that I needed. =o)

I was going to order this item as it is a part that if it goes defective can cause a weak flush. Called the support line.... Look on the tank for the toll free number....

The fix was as simple as removing the "Flow Restriction devise".

Shut off water.... DUH....Flush toilet....Duh.... remove supply tube.... remove white plastic screen with a pair of thin needle nose pliers.... remove the flow restriction devise, it is a plastic thing with an o-ring on it.... replace the screen.... replace the supply tube.... turn on the water.... flush 3 times....

This may cure the problem on the tanks that have the flow restriction devise... they can go in 1 to 3 years.

It will not harm it without it.

Hope this helps

So yes, it is odd that I love a toilet. But I bought a house with 3 FlushMate toilets, so I'm going with it. The cartridge fit perfectly and it only took me about 30 minutes to take out the broken cartridge and put in the new one. The instructions were clear. Taking out the old one was the most difficult -- takes some pressure and lots of turns to get it out. But the new one went in easy and I had the feeling of accomplishment when it was fixed.

Our toilet was running constantly and making a grinding squealing noise. When looking at the cartridge it was obviously broke so I did not have to troubleshoot anything. The whole task took about 15 minutes to remove the old unit and replace and thisa was without the tool, I used pliers and a screwdriver only. Toilet works great now.

2nd one I had to install and this one did not fix the issue. This one is now in the closet as a backup. The fix? I had to replace the entire guts of the Flushmate toilet. Works great but $200 to fix a 5 year old toilet? hmmm

My Sloan flushmate had lost the pressure no matter how I adjusted the flush valve. After replacing it, it works great! The instructions for replacement were very easy to follow!

This item is a key item for me because I use the toilet every three hours or so during the day. It is crucial to know that it is dependable and reliable.

My flushmates have been in service since 1998 and this is the first time I have had to fix any of them. This valve was leaking from the top which caused a $50 increase in my water bill over the course of a quarter. In hindsight I should have tried to disassemble it and clean up / lubed the Orings and tried that. Anyways, I did replace it and stopped the leak but was not getting a complete flush. Replaced the duckbill vent that comes with the kit with no results. Replaced the whole inlet vent same outcome. Ended up turning the valve out 3/4 of a turn and BINGO!! Complete flush! I had cranked it in too tight. When installing it helps to lube up the Orings with some light grease so it assembles easy. The wrench for removing and installing these is not needed. Plyer handles work just as well . And remember - DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN!
