I purchased this gift for my 5 year old nephew and he was soooo intrigued that he could go online and learn about space exploration. I highly recommend this item as it is both educational and interesting. The fact is that he has way too many Wii games, clothes, etc so I was aiming for something different and I scored a home run. His parents liked the idea of a learning 'toy' rather than some mindless thing that kids spend hours with and get nothing back from intellectually.

This is a winner.

Amazon shipping was very fast as well.

Puchased for my 9 year old son. Fun and educational. He enjoyed going on mission with Otto - you actually go on live missions to space through high-performance remote telescopes. The interface is a little tricky, but there are instructions. We took a few recon photos - posted one to our family facebook page. Downside is telescopes can be down due to weather, but worth the wait.
