Nice story & art work -- a must for corgi lovers.,

Well-drawn illustrations. The story is sweet. I bought the book because of the drawings of the corgi, but enjoyed the moral of the book too. Would like to see this author & illustrator work together again.

Welsh folktale,

Based on a welsh folktale, this adorable story is about a husband and wife who pour their slop (potato peelings, dish water, etc.) over their front wall at night. Only, apparently (unknown to the husband and wife) they are consequently pouring their slop down the chimney of the wee folk who live by the wall!
What follows is a kind story of being nice to your neighbors. Fun, folktale-ish illustrations accentuate this story and made it a delight to read! |
