Slovak/English Handy Dictionary,
By Teaching Tulip (Texas, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Slovak (Hippocrene Handy Extra Dictionaries) (Paperback)
I've not moved yet, but I'm sure this will be my favorite book when I get to Slovakia. It's well organized and has entire phrases instead of just one word at a time. The font is easy to read and words are in bold with definitions in regular type.

What's Slovak for "Waste of Money",
By Hilary P. (Bear Creek, Pennsylvania) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Slovak (Hippocrene Handy Extra Dictionaries) (Paperback)
I ordered this "dictionary" and "phrase book" and would have laughed, if it didn't mean spending gas on a trip to the Post Office to return it. This "dictionary" does not have Slovak numbers (I mean counting number, numerals.) It's missing other simple definitions--I recall looking up the Slovak word "vysoky" ("high") and not finding it. I decided to return it, however, when the numeral/number problem became apparent. If you can't use a dictionary to help learn how to count, I don't know what you can use it for. There is a really gaping hole in the Slovak/English dictionary market; someone should write a comprehensive one. This definitely is not even close.
