A real howler!,

Poor Lydia seems to attract predicaments like ants to a picnic! It took me quite a while to stop laughing over her hotel mishaps in Hong Kong (the ex-suite bathroom) and Mongolia (the deceptive outside light switch).

Brilliant book, Lydia has an honest and down to earth style of writing. Maintaining a sense of adventure and of humour throughout her journeys she subtley invites the reader to join her on her trek off the beaten path.
