5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing!
This CD is a must buy for today's new rock. It has it all, from beautiful guitar parts to rockin' drums and of course an amazing vocalist Jeremiah Freed has it all together. I recommed this to any fan of new rock. The band just gets better and better! It's the best CD I've ever bought!

2.0 out of 5 stars Not the Jeremiah Freed I know
I'm not sure what happened to these guys.. I saw the 5 star review and couldn't wait to hear their new album. It's definitley not the Jeremiah freed of earlier. The guitar work is overdone and the singing just the same. The final track is a nice little tune but the rest are just too forced. if you rocked out to "stranded" "again" and "rain"...

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow. Just wow., September 2, 2003

When I heard their first album I was intrigued. It certainly had its own style, and the guitarist was great. But this...this is amazing. This is simply the best album I've ever heard...and I haven't even finished listening to it yet.

Joe Smith's voice has improved tremendously, just as almost every aspect of the band. The guitar wizardry of Nick Goodale is amazing, and the new bluesy sound works great.

But this album. Now.

5.0 out of 5 stars real rock and roll, May 5, 2005
By
This review is from: Slow Burn (Audio CD)
Its so funny to see someone say "if you rocked out to stranded, again, leave this on alone." That CD was an immature, but nice sounding, version of modern rock. Slowburn is an amazing piece of what rock and roll is all about. Guitar and vocals are AWESOME and if you think that the self titled album is better...not that just YOU like it better, but you honestly feel that it is musically more powerful than slowburn, I suggest you turn on WCYY and keep listening to your simple plans, and good charlottes, because Jeremiah Freed has grown up on Slowburn and this album is one of the BEST rock albums ever produced. Period. The fact that you would prefer stranded's poppy chordy feel over ride on's blazing guitar licks says something about your musical intellegence. Joe's vocals have matured ten fold. Amazing CD, buy it and you'll listen to it all the way through..and then immediatly start it again. 5 stars well deserved.

5.0 out of 5 stars Jeremiah Freed- Slowburn, August 15, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Slow Burn (Audio CD)
Jeremiah Freed has come a long way since their self-released debut in 2001. They released a self-titled album on Universal Records, left the label, released an EP called "Times Don't Change", and now we have Slowburn. Fans of the first album will love this one, but the style is much different. While the first stayed in the same genre most of the time, Slowburn covers much more ground. There are rock tunes like "Ride On" and "Slowburn", harder rock like "Leave Me Where I Lay" and
"Sweet Girl", and the acoustic guitar sound on "Do My Best" and "Feed Me Well." "Reflect Your Light", the current single, has a definite southern rock sound. Other songs influenced by Lynyrd Skynyrd etc. are "Don't Go Hungry", "Off The Bottle", and others.

Ride On- 5/5 (my 3rd favorite)
Peace and War- 4.5/5
Reflect Your Light- 5/5
Lost In Today- 4.5/5
Slowburn- 5/5
Sweet Girl- 4/5
Leave Me Where I Lay- 5/5
Off the Bottle- 5/5 (my favorite)
Do My Best- 5/5
Don't Go Hungry- 5/5 (my 2nd favorite)
Rolling Backwards- 4.5/5
Riding Home- 3.5/4 (just a little too long)
Feed Me Well- 4.5/5

Trust me though, I'm not the kind of person who says that every song is good when they aren't. Anyone who went to the CD release party knows that these guys have great stage presence and really know how to get the crowd going. If you have the chance to see Jeremiah Freed live make sure you don't miss it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Classic Rock Influenced Album on the last decade, September 28, 2010
This review is from: Slowburn (MP3 Download)
This album has some blazing guitar riffs that will just about blow you out of the water! This band had a killer sound and a killer attitude. It's too bad they broke up! If I was a first time listener I would check out "Slow Burn","Don't Go Hungry", and "Off the Bottle". It's like Lynyrd Skynyrd meets the Black Crowes. Rock n' roll!

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best, July 23, 2006
This review is from: Slow Burn (Audio CD)
I've been a Freed fan since before the Self-Titled and everything that went along with that. That album cannot touch Slowburn...ever. This album is just a monster. This is just pure rock'n'roll as another reviewer said. This is a buried treasure that when you find it you hold on to it and feel afraid to share.

There is not enough music like this left in the world.

I was lucky enough to see Freed at the Holiday Bizarre one year while attending the University of Maine. Its amazing that my exgf's love of crappy music, i.e. Default and Nickelback, turned me on to some awesome rock'n'roll in Freed.

Can't wait for the next record!
