It's fall and just about soup and stew season. I like using a crock pot but admit that I haven't been much of an adventurer with them in the past. There are two things I like about this book. First, there's some good variety in the dishes so if you only do one a week starting now, you'll have something a bit different every week. Second, the recipes are simple enough that you can't really go wrong and I particularly like the idea of experimenting a bit more with them. I'm looking forward, for example, to "asia'fying" some of these beef dishes with several of the spices I have left over from the divorce.

Crock pot recipes are the bomb. I have quite a collection of them, as there is nothing better than coming home to the aromas of a meal that it feels like you didn't cook! While you're away, your meal is gently cooking, until by the time you get home, you've got melt-in-the-mouth perfection. This is a broad array of great recipes to add to the recipe box that will make me look like a miracle worker! Thanks so much for your great recipe books!

MMMM, beef! And crockpot beef. Oh yeah. I have loved using the crockpot for decades now, and these recipes never get old. It's so nice to have some new recipes to try out because I'm getting pretty tired of the same ones I have been making over and over. The Sliced Beef and Celery Stroganoff looks d-i-v-i-n-e! It's on my list of the first to try. Thanks for putting these together!
