5.0 out of 5 stars Easy and saves time!
This Slow Cooker recipe book is simple, easy to read and most of the ingredients are already available in your kitchen. This book has recipes for desserts, breads, appetizers, and main courses. I use this book quite often when we are having a busy day. I prepare the entire meal in my slow cooker in the morning so it will be ready at dinner time.

Let's get real about slow cookers -- this author really thinks that someone owns more than one and that's just not real. There are recipes that call for a 3.5L slow cooker and others for a 5L slow cooker and others for a 6L slow cooker. Ridiculous! and nowhere could I find an explanation of how to use one size of slow cooker for different amounts of food.

Lots and lots of great slow cooker recipes that you don't see everywhere else. I enjoyed just reading through the book and look forward to making many of the dishes now that Winter is upon us.

She has not tried all the recipes yet but she really likes this book. She says the instructions are easy to follow and that the ones we have not tried yet look really good. We both like the concept of a meal in one pot. We have used ours off and on over the years and it was especially useful when we were still working.

If you actually had a clue your self Mrs.Arynne A. Simon, you would realize that Jean Pare has quite a number of books on healthy living as well as specialthy books for Heart Healthy cooking, vegan cooking, diabetic cooking and many more. Jean has donated many procedes to Diabetic foundations and continues to promote healthy living. Slow cooker recipes happens to be a best seller, and has HEALTHY slow cooking recipes within. so I guess your theories as well as your judgment of Mrs. Pare are very flawed. Please do a little research before you randomly attack people. You may want to try the website at http://www.companyscoming.com and see all that's available

And the sodium/fat gram counts are way off the mark as people now learn to care about fats and sodium content, etc. The suggested use of canned foods in so many recipes makes this cook book read like a promotional handout from the packaged food industry.

The fastest growing segment of the food business is organic and health foods; this book is the exact opposite of what most modern kitchens could use. I will return mine to Amazon or burn it.
