2.0 out of 5 stars expire date is ....
I bought this 2 pack of iron tablets on September, but the expiration date shows Feb. 2012 which is right after 5 months. So don't buy your supplement from here, buy from your local pharmacy!

This product is great! The price is great. A very good price for 120 tabs. The only drawback is the packaging. It is very difficult to remove the tablets from the blister pack. I called the manufacturer and they state that they are packaged in this manner to make them child safe because iron is so toxic in high doses, especially in children. However the majority of Rx meds are toxic to children and they are not packaged in this manner. They say they get a lot of calls about this problem, but have no plans to change the packaging. It is almost impossible to remove the tabs and I am not an old person, even my 21 year old son couldn't believe how difficult they are to remove from the package. Forget about an older person ever removing them from the package. Now I just take the end of a pointed knife or razor and cut a slit near the edge of the back foil and pop them out. I do the entire pack at once and put them in a bottle so I can take them quickly in the morning and at night.

3.0 out of 5 stars Hard to open, November 8, 2009

It doesn't matter how the pills work.... First you have to be able to open the individual blister wrap pills. The pills come in a sheet. First you have to break apart the sheet into individual pill packets. The plastic can cut your fingers. Then you have to peel the paper off the back which is VERY DIFFICULT. That to be done before you can push it thru. Bending the corner does not help to get a grab onto the paper. Easy to poke through once the paper is peeled off. The pill itself is fine and easy to swallow.
