After years of suffering from debilitating symptoms such as muscle cramps, fatigue, migraines, insomnia, loss of apatite and heart palpitations, and confused doctors with treatments that did nothing, I discovered that all my symptoms were signs of magnesium deficiency. I tried other magnesium supplements with no change. I read that magnesium chloride was better absorbed, and spent the money on slo-mag. I'm glad I did. Within one week, my problems are virtually gone. I've been amazed. I've had no side effects or stomach upset with slo-mag. I've recommended this product to anyone with similar symptoms, including my mother and grandmother.

first, let me correct the misinformation that "Mikke" (the 1 star review) posted to everyone. rather than allow his comment to immediately scare off gullible readers who were considering this product, let me explain to them why his "review" is irrelavent and incorrect.

first, the parts that he did partially get right: yes, this product does have talc listed as one of the ingredients. yes, talc once carried ties to cancer. do you know *why* it was linked with cancer? i'll enlighten you: because talc, in its natural form, contains asbestos -- which is curious, since asbestos is also linked to cancer? see, back pre-70's, they used talc powder in its natural form, which brought with it asbestos. in the 1970's sometime, they realized that asbestos was trouble, and they started manufacturing processes to remove asbestos fibers from the mined talc. let's see what groups with more credibility have to say about talc:

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) considers talc (Magnesium Silicate) to be generally recognized as safe (GRAS) for use as an anti-caking agent in table salt in concentrations smaller than 2%. [ source -- [...]]

The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) is part of the World Health Organization (WHO). Its major goal is to identify causes of cancer. Based on the data available, IARC classifies talc that contains asbestos as "carcinogenic to humans". It classifies talc not containing asbestos as "not classifiable as to carcinogenicity in humans".

In its natural form, talc may contain asbestos, a substance known to cause cancers in and around the lungs. Because of this, all home-use talcum products have been asbestos-free since the 1970s. [ source -- [...]]

what he is spreading is information that is decades old.

I bought this product at CVS but just want to comment on how excellent it is. One night I woke up at midnite having an anxiety attack and even ended up going to the ER. They did blood tests but could not find anything wrong, suggesting I had an anxiety attack from drinking coffee everyday. After that attack, I had really bad nighttime heart palpitations which lead to an oncoming attack. I could not get to sleep till 6am every night because it was so bad. I researched online about natural remedies and found the magnesium deficiency could be a cause of anxiety symptoms. So I rushed to the store to buy some and started taking it the next morning. The first day I took Slowmag, I noticed my heart palpatations were 75% better. Its been 3 days and it is getting to the point where there almost gone! I can even get to sleep by 11:30p. To me, SLOWMAG is a lifesaver. Just thought everyone should know...

I eat low carb, and it took off 181 pounds (and kept my weight down!), put my Type 2 diabetes into total remission, and greatly lengthened my life. I must stay on it. Going back to eating sugar and junk food would do me in, quickly.

One problem I've had is leg cramps at night. Recently I got the book (for doctors) "The Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate Living," by Volek and Phinney. It explains the leg cramps and tells exactly how to take magnesium. It also explains the advantages of Slow Mag over some of the others.

I ordered Slow Mag here, and followed the book's instructions. It says for 20 days to take three each day, without fail. After that you can try one at a day, and if any of your symptoms return, go to 2 a day. I'm about 10 days into it now, and the leg cramps are gone, so I sleep better. Yippee!

I suspect I've had other symptoms, too, but it's too soon to tell about them. I see some signs, but I'm not sure yet. Anyway, getting rid of those cramps is major! And since low magnesium was causing me leg cramps every night, who knows what else it was doing to me?

Slow-Mag is a quality product that my doctor recommends I take. It makes a significant difference in heart health. Amazon packages it in a two pack which is the right amount for one month and their price is very competitive. Most drugstores charge $15 for a single bottle so Amazon's two pack price saves you nearly $10 per month. Can't beat that!

My doctor recommended this product. My only complaint is that when I put it with my other medications in the pill minder it exudes a liquid that makes my other pills gooey. Of course, I put the Slow-Mag in a separate container now, but wonder why it had that unpleasant effect.

It took a long time to get this product. The cost savings were worth it though, but because the shipping and communications were not good, I give this vendor only 4 stars.

I started to take magnesium when I had heart palpitations and the Emergency Room blood work tests indicated that I had low magnesium. I have not had blood work since, but taking it seems to have made a difference. I have not had any palpitations since I started taking this.

Most people can get magnesium from eating nuts, but I have diverticulosis and this has banned nuts from my diet. The magnesium provides a boost in this essential nutrient. Great Product!
