5.0 out of 5 stars How to Save Rock N Roll
In a world of boy bands and nu-metal, this album IS the light at the end of the tunnell. If your looking for an artist that mixes great songwriting with great playing and infectious melodies, this is THE album for you. After playing this album over and over again (it never gets old!) my co workers and I cannot understand why Richie does not have a major label deal. This...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not what i expected
Okay let's throw out the filler tracks and rate the cd on a whole. There are 1-3 strong songs on the cd that i really like. Then there are some of the soul inspired songs. I don't have anything wrong with that at all and anyone who knows Richie Kotzen knows he is heavily into bluesy and r&b styles of music. My proplem with it is some of the crappy drum machine fills...

If your looking for an artist that mixes great songwriting with great playing and infectious melodies, this is THE album for you. After playing this album over and over again (it never gets old!) my co workers and I cannot understand why Richie does not have a major label deal. This album has HITS all over it!
Most guitar-based artists have played it safe by churning out long boring albums. Not Richie. He's taken the real challenge with music and decided to actually write songs. What a concept! All these songs rock. All these songs have a SOUL. Buy the album, you won't regret it. I'm definately going to buy more of Richie's CD's after hearing this...

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Feel good Music, May 12, 2006
This review is from: Slow (Audio CD)
Slow starts off with an Intro then goes into Scared Of You which is just an awesome funky hard rock tune, the album does change tempos and has a great ballad on it Don`t Wanna Lie, if your new to Richie Kotzen`s music I believe it`s a good starting point, I recommend all of his Cd`s with vocals, I do not have any instrumental cd`s of his, also I will add that I saw him live at Paladino`s recently in L.A. and the guy was amazing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Different but still good, December 27, 2005
This review is from: Slow (Audio CD)
Different richie kotzen album. I think it is his only solo album that I actually skip a few songs. Only 2 I have to skip. Overall a great album especially compared to the popular stuff that is out today. Recommended but probably his worst.

5.0 out of 5 stars Richie Kotzen " SLOW ", March 14, 2005
By
This review is from: Slow (Audio CD)
Richie Kotzen proves he is one of the best kick-ass guitarist to ever walk the planet. This review is of the IMPORT from Finland with the Bonus Track " ALL I CAN "
The First track " Ohio " kicks it into gear with some hard bluesy guitar and bass riffs. " Scared of You " is another track with lightning vocals and fast beat. Kotzen shows off from start to finish in " Gold Digger ".... the next tune.. " The Answer " is a great hoppin rocker. " Slow " is anything but...then " Don't Wanna Lie " slows it down a bit (one for the ladies) it sounds as good as any pop song from the time period then Richie gets back into gear with " Got it Bad " a bit bluesy with some great licks. " I Can Make You Happy " keeps the pace then " Sapphire " shows some excellent Latin Classical talents...for a minute the Kotzen next one " Come Back " is another pop vocal/jazzy song that songs good with some special effects thrown in....next track " Rely On Me " Shows us some of the techno influence of the time... " Lets Say Goodbye " another slow one for the ladies with the lights turned down slow dancer yes... then Old time Jazz with " Conflicted " my least favorite at first but then kicks into gear with my favorite on the disc the BONUS SONG " ALL I CAN " An absolute Rocker Classic....
I stumbled on this CD by accident I only wish I would have been able to see this band play live...this is one of my few CD's I can say deserves 5 Stars...enjoy

3.0 out of 5 stars Not what i expected, February 21, 2005

I don't have anything wrong with that at all and anyone who knows Richie Kotzen knows he is heavily into bluesy and r&b styles of music. My proplem with it is some of the crappy drum machine fills that are put in. I have been through the cd once so maybe it gets better. This cd has potential instead of marvin gaye or barry white when having one of those intimate dinner nights. Surprise your girlfriend and put on something differant.

5.0 out of 5 stars if you like richie kotzen . . . you'll like it, February 21, 2005

i've listened to this CD a lot lately, and it has grown on me considerably. It has everything a Kotzen fan would want: good songs, good vocals, some showcased guitar (we've all missed that a little), and the jazz track at the end is awesome (I don't know how he wasn't included in the recent guitar Coltrane tribute CD!). I don't have the import - but wish I had the extra track. Why is Lenny Kravitz a star in the U.S. and Kotzen not a household name???

5.0 out of 5 stars This is why Richie is so great., August 28, 2004
This review is from: Slow (Audio CD)
First let me say that I'm not a musician. I just enjoy music. Mostly Electric Blues Guitar, Heavy Metal and Classic Rock. I had to write a review about this cd. Within the last year I have been collecting Richie Kotzen cd's. When I first listened to this one I was amazed. I had already owned 5 of his cd's, but this one Blew Me Away. It's been awhile since I've had a cd that is just fun to listen to. I can be in the worst mood and pop in this cd and I just start to "Dance in my seat" driving down the road. The best way I can describe the sound is "Funky". You can get all technical on how it was recorded or Who's on it or what record label. Bottom line for me is how does it make you feel when you listen to it. I Love It. My second favorite Kotzen cd is "change".

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor CD, August 7, 2002

Unfornately this CD is horrible. I admit that Richie is an excelent guitarist. But this CD... All sort of bad music you can find here. Basically soul-inspired electronic tunes... I think you can save your money buying something really good.
