A great book about life in Los Angeles, there was nothing written like this before Eve Babitz wrote this book. I must have read it twenty times. It's charming and funny and very sad. Most of all its enormously entertaining.

I've read several books by Eve Babitz and this one is my favorite. She capture's the atmosphere and the feeling of being a young person in L.A. during the 1960's.

I found this in paperback in Iowa when I was a teen and fell in love with her, her style and LA then moved there for awhile and feel she captures it better than any other writer ever. EVER
