5.0 out of 5 stars Joe Bailey's new book is a real gem!, November 21, 2003

This review is from: Slowing Down to the Speed of Love : How to Create a Deeper, More Fulfilling Relationship in a Hurried World (Hardcover)
There are thousands of books on relationships, but Joe Bailey's book is a gem. Joe talks straight to your innate health and wisdom. When you read this book something feels incredibly right. It is simple and profound. Slowing Down to the Speed of Love provides a deep understanding that goes beyond techniques that may lose relevance. This book is about "timeless love" and helps you "be present" and alive in a way that truly makes for a deep and fulfilling relationship. When couples come to me for help, I always recommend this book.! Thank you Joe for a rare and special gift to me and my patients.

I just finished reading Joe Bailey's "Slowing Down to the Speed of Love" and it has really helped to change my life. Not only do I see relationships in a new way but I see my whole life differently. I feel quiet, at peace, people say they've seen a change in me. I highly recommend this book. Give it a try, I think you'll like it too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing, October 24, 2003

This review is from: Slowing Down to the Speed of Love : How to Create a Deeper, More Fulfilling Relationship in a Hurried World (Hardcover)
I've just begun reading this book. I'm only in the beginning of the book, and already it's made a major difference on my life. I've been a cronic one to always reflect on the past. Reading this book, Chapter 1, talks about 'living in the moment' I never looked at life that way. Since reading this section, my life has become calm. I just can't put the book down. I've ordered the book for a friend who is also going through a hard time. I hope it helps them as much as it has helped me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Book Ever!, July 30, 2010
By
I have read a lot of books. I have read a lot of really fine books, so I really sit up and take notice when I hear the words coming out of my mouth on repeat occasions "This might just be the best book I have ever read!" Since that has happened so many times, I have to ask myself, what is it about this book that moves me so much? I have often thought about writing a book myself on similar themes, but then I go back and read Slowing Down once again and say to myself - "I don't know - seems like Joe has said it all here." In his completely intimate, unpretentious style, Joe has laid out all you ever need to know. I have recommended the book to many many people by now, and they have all gained value from it, but the message is so unassuming, so profound, that it almost slips by unnoticed. To quote David Byrne "Don't you miss it, don't you miss it, some of you people just about missed it" And the message is this; we all have innate Health within us at all times, we are constantly creating with the gift of Mind, and we don't have to Do anything to uncover our native wisdom, just allow the flow of consciousness to take care of it for us. I think people miss it because we are all so conditioned to think that we have to strive and do and look outside ourselves to authority figures or techniques or enlightened beings to find the peace and guidance that is talking to us all the time anyway. These are my words. Thank goodness Joe has laid it down with such deeper eloquence. Read this book!

Anything by Joe Bailey is good, but you have to be ready for him. This will only work for those who are willing to put relationships FIRST.
