MxPx are a three piece punk band formed in 1992 in Bremerton, Washington. The band began when the trio, Mike Herrera, Yuri Ruley and Andy Husted were still in High School. They were picked up by Tooth & Nail Records and released their debut album Pokinatcha in 1994.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent work by MxPx. They have come a long way., December 8, 1999

These guys have totally refined their sound into the very best melodic punk rock available. I have had this CD for 2 years and I still consider it one of my best music purchases. From the moment Under Lock And Key blasted from my speakers I was hooked. MxPx is just awesome. If you compare this CD and Blink 182's newest album...it's not even close very few of Blink's new songs are even listenable. Slowly Going The Way Of The Buffalo has 16 tracks and 15 of them are awesome(I don't care much for Fist VS Tact, but thats not really how MxPx plays so it doesn't bother me). If you want to pick up one of the best punk albums I highly suggest you purchase this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Modern Punk at its best .., March 23, 2004
This review is from: Slowly Going the Way of Buffalo (Audio CD)
Mxpx has always been a fav. of mine alongside NoFx .. This band is very creative in what they do and live they are also great from what ive been told ..

p.s : ignore teenieboppers and their ''this aint punk etc.'' and ignore those wannabe posers who were never born in the 70's but pretend to be .. the true poser is the one pretending to be from another generation , truely pathetic ..

5.0 out of 5 stars THIS CD IS FREAKIN' SWEEEETT!!!!!!!!, April 17, 2004

From the opening blast of "Under Lock and Key" to the final riff of the Theme Fiasco, MxPx delivers the best melodic punk rock I've heard. The songs are so catchy and meaningful you cant even help it but to fall in love. No, you do not have to be a Christian to enjoy MxPx, especially with this album. Some say that "Fist v. Tact" isnt a good song, personally I think it rocks, they're just mad cause they cant figure out the words. Anyway this is a must buy or burn or whatever you like just get it, NOW!
