I first heard the Amputees on Tony Hawk's Underground and fell in love with the song "She Said". Soon after I heard the songs "No Mercy" and "Want Dead" which were also really awesome. I finally bought the album and overall it was a good album but it had some problems like all albums. If like the Descendents or The Distillers this is an album you should pick up. i was totally oblivious to who these guys (and girl) were till last week when i came across their record. listened to the whole thing and thought it was if anything above average. Then i listened a few more times and really got into them. The vocals are reminiscent of gwen stefani-circa 1996's-tragic kingdom, but with more grit. She sounds better than cody dalle from the distillers, smoother in tone. the songs flow well from start to finish, a really soild album. Its a good cd, not great cause only once in a great while will a cd be that amazing, but the amputees slut bomb LP definately "scratched my kitty-cat".
