scott henry is a genius..no doubt...im a baltimore raver and scott henry is a local baltimore/dc dj and also considered the east coast rave pioneer dj.And he lives up to his title.This cd is simply amazing.It is oldschool and simply incredible.Definately 5 stars...2 thumbs up whatever...

This is one of the greatest commercially produced techno mixes of all time. I've owned this CD three separate occassions as it has been taken or given (and never returned)... DJ Scott Henry has had other mixes out, but they pale in comparison. This is good old school rave music... The kind of stuff that makes you wanna strap on your backpack, put on your most comfy kicks, and dance your tail off in a sweaty warehouse until the morning comes... If you partied back when these tracks were produced, you will be reminiscent... If not, take notes, this is a history lesson worth listening to.

I just saw Scott Henry spin here in Charlotte...he's incredible, he takes the time to interact with the crowd and he's so much fun to watch. Smile Mix Session 1 is mixed well and the songs are great in and of themselves. Get out your glow sticks!

Wow, this takes me back. 1996. 19 years old doing the Chicago rave scene. Those were the days. This was one of my favorites.... alongside DJ Funk and Danny Tenaglia.

I was a raver back in the day and had the honor of seeing Scott Henry every Friday night at Capitol Ballroom in D.C. I bought this cd in '96 when it was first released and was absolutely thrilled with it. I loved and knew every song on it. Listening to the cd now, takes me back to those great times of dancing the night away. I was heartbroken when my cd became too scratched to play, but thank god, I have found it again. For thoses of you who were around in the mid-90's, I also recommend Tetsuo's cd Music From the Techno Club (box set). You should know most of the songs because Scott Henry and others used to spin many of them. Amazon.com also has that cd.
Smile was the first true techno cd I ever owned and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great mix and outstanding song selection.

This CD seriously ROCKS!!! It's by far one of the best examples of early techno. Scott Henry rips the tables up on this CD.

i love this cd. my friend has bought this cd three times. once because she lost it, another time because she broke up with a boyfriend and he took it with him, and the third time because she was at a party and ended up giving it to someone in an e'd out stupor of love. "you are so nice, you neeeeed this. this is for you. you will appreciate it." she did the same thing with a few cheap novelty watches and a poetry book, but the point is, everyone who has heard it has loved it. its not monotonous. it moves you. its good. get it.

You must get this cd!! This is one of my favorite cd's of all time. This is a must have. This cd is up lifting and makes me long for a rave.

I saw henry spin in the transmissions tent at the 1999 hfstivial and it my first time ever hearing of him, so i needed to find this cd. it is worth it!
