Small Acoustic Guitar - Great Gift for Kids = Assorted Colors

I bought this for myself because I was seeking new timbres for my guitar playing. By chance, I got a dark steel blue one, which was nice, but let it be known the color WILL BE RANDOM. When it arrived the bridge was a little off but it can be moved into place and will stay there once the strings are tightened. The guitar came with a large pick and 2 extra strings.

I didn't order this product expecting real guitar quality, I ordered it expecting toy guitar quality. The sound is tinny, and the strings are difficult to tune and won't stay tuned for long.

For what I was looking for, this product fit the bill exactly.

Some tips for parents buying this for their children:

1) The strings will be loose when it arrives, don't panic! They're supposed to be so they don't break in transit.

2) If the machineheads (the tuning knobs) aren't staying in place when you tune the strings, tighten the screw inside the knob, this will make it stay.

3) If you want something that plays like a real guitar, buy a real guitar. Toy guitars are great for single note melodies, but will not make chords very well, if at all.

4) Tune the strings a step up from a normal guitar tuning. The size of the guitar makes it impossible to tune it to E-A-D-G-B-E, so tune it to A-D-G-B-E-A.

5) The frets aren't marked like they are on most guitars, so feel free to make a notch (knife, scissors, etc.) on the fretboard on frets 3,5,7,9,12, and 15. It will help your child to recognize which fret s/he's currently on and where s/he wants to go from there.

6) For your child's safety, handle the tuning yourself or supervise when they do it. If they tighten a string too much it can snap and lash out at them, causing injury.

That's about it. For 20 bucks this is as good of a guitar as you'll find.

I would have liked to known that hot pink could be a color option. You don't get a choice whether it will be brown or pink. Otherwise the guitar is OK for a toy.

I bought this for my son who is obsessed with Dan Zanes, and wanted to play a guitar. This is the perfect size for him, and can put up with him banging it into everything. He really enjoys it. Although, I wouldn't recommend it for real lessons, but for fun this is great for the price.

This was the worst gift, you can't pick the color of the guitar you get so I was lucky when I got blue for boy, my 2 1/2 year old son has had this for 1 month and it is already broken, the strings are too loose and won't tighten to play, the arm of the guitar is cracked off, it is not a quality item it cost more than it is worth, I DO NOT recommend waisting time and money on this item because they make sure the window for return is very small so you get stuck with this garbage.

First of all, it comes in assorted colors, so you don't know what color you are getting until you get it. I ordered it for my son and they shipped me a pink guitar. Second the quality was horrible. The strings looked like thread and they were very loose! Third, in addition to having to pay for shipping to recv. the item, I had to pay to ship it back! This was over a week ago and I still have not recieved a refund. I ended up going to Toyrus to purchase a guitar. It was cheaper and had a much higher quality.

Awful toy - cheaply made, parts not glued on, strings don't stay tight. Didn't even give it as a gift - was to embarassed. Rate it 0 stars.

My daughter begged me for it and I got it. To my surprise it's actual kind of neat she plays it often.No complaints so far so good!!!

This "guitar" is not worthy to be called even a toy. It is not capable to make sound and there are blemishes on the body of the guitar everywhere. I did not return it since it had been free shipping and the shipping cost to return it was more than it was worth. Don't buy this "toy".

Don't waste your money: These guitars are not even worth $15. Junk, guaranteed only to disappoint kids, as well as parents.

I got this for my Granddaughter and when it was opened it the strings were not on right and it was wore from use, this was supposed to be a NEW not USED!! Two strings broke within 19 min of using it. I will not recommend this to any one my first time using this site and I am so disappointed I may as well throw my money in the trash. Box went in trash so I can't even send it back NOT A GOOD BIRTHDAY GIFT FOR A LITTLE GIRL!! Very bad company it was Winning Costumes LLC.
