Necessary for the Small Animal Vet Student,

This review is from: Small Animal Internal Medicine - Text and E-Book Package, 4e (Hardcover)
Although this book is quite lengthy, it provides excellent and detailed descriptions and is broken down in a logical order that makes it an amazing reference. The chapters will provide a short overview, a method of distinguishing different but similar diseases, and then go on to explain the etiology, pathophysiology, differentials, diagnostics (which you should do and which will be unrewarding), treatments, and prognosis.
The charts are incredibly useful (though I haven't used most of the diagrams, honestly) but many of my classmates have found them unbelievably helpful. Great Book. Alo, I got the online addition as well, so that I don't have to lug the book all around with me, or worry that it will be lost or stolen. If you have the extra money (though what vet student does?) I'd recommend getting the online stuff too. I don't know if I would/could SOAP without it. |
