When I purchased this i was a little nervous about its small size, but it is perfect for a journal that you're looking to carry around. It arrived four days after I ordered it, but you consider that I ordered late Saturday night, and then that's real speedy service. The only thing that bothered me about the other reviews was the fact that none of them told you how many pages there were, and so to answer that question for you all there are 160 pages if you count one side as a page. Great buy

I received the journal today and I am even more pleased with it than I thought. The leather and binding remind me of something hand made a 100 years ago. Great quality and the leather feels great. Definitely recommended for those who like "old school" elegance.

I am very happpy with the quality of the journal, however it is a bit smaller than what I expected. The length of the journal was listed as just over 6", mine measures at 5.5" and the paper of course is slightly smaller measuring at 5". Other than size like I said I am extremely happy.

I normally don't take the time on Amazon to leave a review, but I was so impressed with this fantastic leather travel journal that I just had to speak up. It's really great quality. The handmade details are lovely, and the size is perfect for travel. I highly recommend this journal for any one who loves to write. This would also be a great gift.

I had looked around thoroughly for a distressed, vintage style leather journal before I bought this one. For the price this one far exceeds what you could possibly expect for $20. Smooth leather with handmade paper, perfectly crafted and durable. I carry it with me at all times to jot down thoughts on the fly, so the size and weight are perfect. I use a fine-point fountain pen to write with which works nicely, not too blotchy on the paper. After purchasing this one I will definitely buy one of the larger journals for more permanent writings. Lastly, the company was a pleasure to deal with, good communication and super fast shipping. I received it 5 days after I ordered it.

This journal is epic! It looks like it belongs in an Indiana Jones movie. The leather and handmade paper give an authentic aged look and feel. The frayed edges are a really nice touch. I bought it for a trip to Italy. I found the small size made it a great travel journal; small enough to toss in my bag and light enough to carry around. The rugged leather holds up nicely and there are plenty of pages for you to fill up. You simply cannot find a better quality journal for twenty bucks. I found it to be such a great bargain for the quality that I bought a 2nd one for my husband. He loves it as much as I do. Buy it while you can!

I don't normally review products on Amazon, but for this journal, I just had to.
This journal is beautiful--I could see some adventurer taking it on a trip through uncharted lands a hundred years ago. The leather binding stands up well to rain and rough handling.
The paper is wonderfully textured, and there's plenty of pages to spare (I counted about 128).
The paper doesn't take too well to erasing, or to quill pens, I found, but that might have just been the pen/eraser I was using.
When it arrived, I found it a bit smaller than described, but it's still good for poetry and small sketches, and is small enough to fit into a coat pocket.
I find myself thinking more carefully about what I write in it--making sure the words do justice to the book they're written in.
Overall, this book is durable, elegant and wonderfully old-fashioned. I plan to buy another one when this one is filled up.

Smallish size aside, this is the perfect companion for jotting ideas when out and about. I carry it everywhere and use it constantly. It is beautifully handmade using very sturdy leather and an excellent grade of paper. Not only is it really rugged, but it's also eye-catching and completely unique. I plan to buy a few more so I have reserves when my current one becomes filled.

This is a great journal for a traveller as others have said. I purchased it for myself just as a book to keep quotes, etc. in. But like I said I think it would be perfect for someone who travels as it is on the small side. Good quality though & very quaint, made with good materials as well.

This journal is very nice and compact. I like the way it looks because of its antique look. So far it is durable and fun to take around. I also like the fact that it is very low priced but yet real leather, handmade, and even the paper is handmade. However there is one downside because when you erase on the paper a layer of the paper comes off. (It is thick paper so no holes in it yet) Overall this journal is a very good bargain for the price the shipping was quick and it is a great product.
