Small Holes in the Universe Sets a Giant Stage, November 2, 2005
This review is from: Small Holes in the Universe (Paperback)
David Swerdlow's poetry belongs to a remarkably small group of writers in America: those who because of their skill are able to strike tones that are more typically associated with the great Central and South American poets of the last century or so. This is no small feat, and for an opening gesture, a first book, this is a remarkable collection, worthy of strong attention and high praise. His poetry works magic. There is a beauty here that comes only from listening to great voices and discovering that language inside oneself. These poems are moving, beautifully written contributions to what we know of love and the mysteries that surround it and us.

Had the privilege of meeting David and going to his poetry reading. His poetry is advanced and beautiful with music and life! He finds all those small holes in the universe and gives them life. A pure joy and increadible talent.
