Product Description

This flexible, amber tubing is suitable for medical applications, among others. It is made of latex for excellent elasticity and memory after repeated pulsating and stretching. It has a Shore A rating of 35 for resistance to tearing and a smooth inner bore for resistance to collection or blockage. It is transparent for visual monitoring of the fluid flow. This tubing has a maximum operating temperature of 180 degrees F and is gamma, ETO, and steam sterilizable for repeated use.

Plastic tubing is used to transfer liquids, air, or solids, and it is characterized by a round, rectangular, or square shape and a hollow center. Plastic tubing is crimp-resistant and varies in bend radius (flexibility), chemical resistance, wall thickness, durometer hardness, and temperature and pressure handling abilities. The clarity of plastic tubing may be transparent (clear), translucent (semi-clear), or opaque (solid), and the tubing's coloring may indicate suitable applications. Barbed fittings are used to connect tubing or redirect flow in a fluid handling system. Plastic tubing is used in a wide variety of industries, such as agriculture, automotive, laboratory, and medicine. Applications for plastic tubing include blood and fluid handling, peristaltic pumps, electrical and thermal insulation, analytical systems, and food and beverage handling, among others.

This product is simply not as advertised, as described; "25' Length". I ordered 4 lengths of 25 feet because that is what I needed. There were cheaper options that could not be guaranteed 25 foot lengths. Some reviews of the 50 foot reels pointed out that the lengths were intermittently cut. This was true of all four lengths I ordered. The longest was probably 20 feet, the shortest perhaps 17 feet. Each 25' length purchased was actually two pieces each with seemingly random cuts. For $175 it's nice to receive what you pay for. Not a good first experience with Amazon.

This came on time. Exactly what was expected. Lovely color. Decent price in comparison to elsewhere. At first I was upset because I ordered two 10' sections and one came in 3 or 4 pieces (It was for a sculpture. I was threading electroluminescent wire thru it) I had an extra 2mm space for the el wire- it was quite difficult to get thru and I ended up having to cut it into a few sections anyway. Which was good considering I didn't have time to exchange it. I definitely would recommend this to anyone else. But if your going to string el wire thru it go with the bigger I.D. if you don't want frustration.(I knew it would be difficult) And if you need a continuous strand maybe let the seller know.

This tubing his very high quality (obviously, it's surgical supply), and extremely flexible. The walls are rather sturdy, so they make for great adult-operated slingshots. My 6-year old didn't have enough strength in his hand to hold tight, pull back, AND aim well at the same time. For kids' slingshots, I would recommend this much softer, thin-walled version: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003OBCM4O/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_24

i was worried that it would come in multiple cut lengths as some reviewers said. looks like they read the reviews and did the right thing. I looked for other sellers but settled here because I needed the tubing. It came as 1 25' tube. good.

It's elastic strength is slightly less then expected, but still within the range needed for my project. I just didn't know what size tubing to get for the strength I wanted.

This is just what I needed to modify my Vacuum sealer. I added a liquid capture tank between the intake and the vacuum pump. This tubing was just what was needed.

I use this tube to form circular bands to fit around the top of trash containers. Put the plastic bin liner inside, fold the top edge under the rubber tube and you're set. They last for years - Probably because the top of the bin liner goes over the top of the rubber tube and keeps all the trash and goo off the rubber. I have some plastic pins that fit the inside of the tube. You slide the tube's end over the pin at each end of the tube, and it grips the pin making a fairly secure connection. I don't know where to get more of the pins.
