Tired of same Indie rock sound,

So I actually was really getting out of indie rock when I heard this band. They were all seeming to sound the same and had that generic "Indie Rock" sound which just became boring. Dear and the Headlights, totally blew me away though, they are fun, catchy and full of energy. If you want a good change and just a fun cd to listen to, I highly recommend this album.

Ahh, I found this band a while back through iTunes and its recommended bands, and that was where I heard their first single "Sweet Talk." It was catchy so I got the rest of the album, and it's seriously one of my most favorite CDs ever. All the songs are really melodic. My favorites are "Paper Bag," "Grace," "Sweet Talk," and "Midwestern Dirt." One of the things that I really loved the most was the fact that the songs were so sing-able. Many of the choruses don't repeat themselves too, and I found myself constantly trying to sing them out with as much emotion as the lead singer does. One of the best bands ever! Can't wait 'till they finish the new CD! :D

All around a good cd. It has a variety of styles throughout, one moment giving you a country tinged rock song and the next a dose of a subtle, indie, acoustic masterpieces. The lyrics are some of the tightest and profound in at least the last five years, and they flow evenly throughout. I'd check out the song grace or the song paper bag to get a good feel for these guys. Enjoy!
