What a wonderful album! When you think country music; Paul Brandt is at the top of the charts...well, at least he should be. He is definitely the most underated country artist out there. This small town boy from Alberta has been overshadowed by the likes of Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Tim Mcgraw, Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, JMM, Brad Paisly and many other well known country singers. Paul Brandt is one of a kind quality, the only artists in the same class as him are Garth Brooks, Tim McGRAW.

I've had the pleasure of seeing Paul once in concert, and the performance was impecable. His live vocals are as good as the CD, unlike many performers out there. Every song he has ever released has been awesome, there are no bad songs on a CD of his. There is no such thing as a "filler" song to Paul, every song on his CD is great. This is a CD you can put on when your mad, sad, or anywhere in between, it's guaranteed to lift your spirits. The messages are deep, the lyrics are powerful, the music will make you laugh, cry, dance, sing, and all in all you will feel warm inside.

Even if your not a country music fan, you'll love it. I also listen to music like eminem, 50 cent, Dmx, so believe me, it can touch all audiences. Paul's music is pure, genuine, honest, and it will bring you hope and encouragement in life. It will leave you with a positive attitude and instill into your heart that love and peace is important and very much attainable in today's world of violence and corrupton. Overall Paul's music is very spirited and uplifting, an influence that we need more of in today's world.

"Small Towns and Big Dreams" was recorded as a live album during several stops on one of Brandt's Canadian tours. In addition to including great music, the connection between Brandt and his audiences is really evident. Some of the best tracks from this record are the title track, "Cry If You Want To," "When You Call My Name," "Virgil and the Holy Ghost," and "The Longest Way." My personal favorite is the rousing "I'm Gonna Fly."

"Small Towns and Big Dreams" contains several uplifting songs fans have come to expect from Brandt. New fans who are looking for stripped down performances and country music with depth should also like this album.

Paul Brandt has done it yet again! This CD is amazing. A live record of new songs, performed across Canada, to crowds who were unfamiliar with the music, and it still killed! "Cry if You Want To," "Warm Sunny Beaches," and "The Longest Way" stand out as the great songs in this CD. For Paul Brandt fans, this CD is a fabulous find.

As always anything by Paul Brandt is fantastic..can't figure out the music market here in the states not recognizing such a fine versatile artist..boy are they missing the bet.. Thanks for giving Pauls fans a chance to own his works..Billye J. Obray Colorado Springs,CO (PS I'm way over 13 yrs old)

First of all I would like to make a corection the Realse date for this album was 2002 not 1969 (Paul was not born yet)

This is a very good album as is all of Pauls albums.
all the songs are great Paul is an excellent song writer and singer. I would recomend this album and all of pauls albums.
