A fine selection of chinese moviethemes and folktunes, beautifully interpreted by Zhang Ling Ling and two of her students. Miss Zhang plays the Gu Sheng, a chinese zither, similar to the japanese Koto, which is better known in the west but actually stems from these chinese instruments. She also sings on a few tunes. The music has a nice feeling to it throughout, there is no sign of that mechanical display of virtuosity you might hear elsewhere. If you like chinese music at all, you should not be disappointed.
