Good but recharging batteries can be tricky,
Its good to have a rechargable flashlight system like this. But once the batteries drain, plugging in the recharger will not work by default. You have to crank it a bit first then plug in the recharger. I guess it puts a charge into it to synch with the recharger.

I purchased this light several years ago. It is very well made and you can feel the quality when you hold it and work the wind-up feature. I like that it can be charged under normal conditions, and can be cranked in lights-out conditions. The light is bright and has two settings to suit your needs. the l.e.d.'s put out quite a bit of light, and usable light lasts a long time. I haven't had to actually crank it in the three years I've had it. It's been running on the first charge, though I only use it from time to time. I recently used it in an outage after my battery powered light failed due to batteries (new in the package) that had no juice. I am thankful that I had this light. It was a flook that brand new batteries failed. The manufacturer of the batteries made it right, but that is of little consequence when the electricity fails and your in the dark. The point is, that depending on battery power is becoming a thing of the past. Get this light or an equivalent product to serve your family in an emergency. When the SHTF you may not be able to get batteries for a long time.
