good start in small scale brick making,
By christopher (montana) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Small-scale brickmaking (Technology Series. Technical Memorandum No. 6) (Paperback)
this book is a good start for individuals desiring to learn the process of small scale brick making. the book is detailed and starts at the beginning with a description of clay types and the winning or acquiring of clay, its evaluation for brick making, the handling of the clay and the ultimate formation and curing of the material into bricks. The book looks at the subject from the point of view of production using the most rudimentary supplies and techniques. It does also touch on the more complex techniques. The book could have a little more detail, but over all it offers the reader the information they would need to see if they want to go further in the enterprise.....
