3.0 out of 5 stars Dark Clark strikes again
The Smallville book series is a good way to extend the television series. Each book is like a new episode we didn't get to see. This book is all about Clark Kent and his insecurities as a teenager who wishes he had the confidence to show Lana Lang how he feels about her, among other things.

this book keeps you wondering and the characters are right on track. i do wish they would make more of these books for the many adults who do adore the show but get tired of the books that is obviously written for children under the age of 12.

This book is well written in keeping with the show. Characterization is excellent as is the storyline, though I wish it had been a little longer. Read it in one day, despite my busy schedule. I look forward to more of this author's stories to read.

3.0 out of 5 stars Dark Clark strikes again, October 27, 2011

This review is from: Smallville #9: Temptation (Smallville (Little Brown Paperback)) (Mass Market Paperback)
The Smallville book series is a good way to extend the television series. Each book is like a new episode we didn't get to see. This book is all about Clark Kent and his insecurities as a teenager who wishes he had the confidence to show Lana Lang how he feels about her, among other things.

He finds a piece of Red Kryptonite which always makes him feel good and takes away his inhibitions. He knows it isn't good to expose himself to the red kryptonite for very long, but he gets it in his head that if he only uses it a little bit, he may be able to get the benefits without all the bad side effects. Of course, he isn't really able to control how he uses it that much. The question is, how will Clark get away from the red kryptonite so we can have the good Clark back? I guess you will have to read the book to find out.

I only gave this book 3 out of 5 stars because I don't like to see Clark on red kryptonite for very long and he was mostly in "dark Clark" mode in this book. Still it is a good enough story to recommend it to fans of Smallville.
