This is an excellent cookbook for anyone wishing to find healthy recipes using different varieties of chicken and fish. Although it isn't described as specifically a kosher cookbook, the fact is that all of the recipes are kosher-compatible, using only kosher fish (i.e. no shellfish) and not mixing meat with dairy products. The recipes vary in level of difficulty, but none of them seem extremely complicated, and none takes up more than a page and a half (the book is fairly small in size and the print nice and large, so "a page and a half" isn't as much as it sounds like!).

If I have one negative comment, it's about the tone of the introduction to some of the recipes. It's a little preachy and condescending, as though the writer were giving a nutrition lecture to schoolkids (e.g. the line "....the nutrient that puts a twinkle in your eye" nearly made me drop the book), as well as going into just a bit more detail than I really need about exactly which organs in the body are aided by the particular ingredients in a given recipe (nobody wants to keep seeing the words "blood-building" or reading anything about the bones or liver or pancreas when looking through a cookbook to find something tempting to prepare - reading recipes is supposed to stimulate the appetite, not kill it!). Still, that aside, I definitely recommend this, and I consider myself lucky to have found it on a store shelf a few years ago.
