This review is from: Smart Guide to Getting Strong and Fit (Paperback)
It's rare that you find something calling itself "smart," and then it actually turns out to be that. But this handy guide gave me a lot more than I expected for the price. It's not for the rabid tri-athlete or the hyper-pumped gym rat. It's more for people like me, who have spent a lot more time sitting at the computer in recent years than they'd care to admit but who want to get in shape. If, like me, you don't know a stepper from a spinner; a "glute" from a "delt"; or the difference between a simple carbohydrate and a complex one, this book can tell you ... and without preaching! A really common-sense, comprehensive look at health and fitness without the jargon, wacky experimental concepts, or impossible-to-maintain regimens. I'd highly recommend it.
