4.0 out of 5 stars Finally, a DS game for toddlers!
My 3-year-old daughter loves this game. It contains BOTH of the games Smart Boys: Gameroom and Smart Girls: Playhouse, so save your money and just buy this one. As mentioned, I have a girl, but she enjoys several of the boy games. You may experience similar overlap! Best part, there is a coloring game!

There are a few drawbacks to this set of games - you...

2.0 out of 5 stars Too simple- not enough for my 4 year old
This is a cute game, but more suited for the 2-3 year old set, if they even play the DS at that age. My 4 year old girl is of normal intelligence and just started playing this game this week (this is her first DS game). It is already too simple and she has done everything she can with the game.
This is nowhere near challenging or entertaining enough for us. I...

There are a few drawbacks to this set of games - you can't save anything (pictures, musical compositions). Some of the voices and special effect noises are annoying. (Why exactly is there a whistle noise EVERY TIME you drop a piece into place in the puzzle game?)

We have to ration out the game playing time. But it's kind of fun to snuggle down with her playing on my old DS while I play BrainAge2 on my shiny new red DS!

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME!!! Finally, a great game for young kids!, December 8, 2007

I'm thrilled to be the first to review this game!! It's such a great little game for young kids. My four and a half year old daughter loves it and it's was so easy for her to understand it.... it only took me five minutes to get her "geared" up to start playing the game on her own! What I like the MOST about this game is that you can record two congratulatory and encouraging messages that will play when he/she does a task or answers correctly. My DD loves to hear mommy say "Awesome Job Sweet Pea", it's so encouraging to her! I can hear her giggle and say "Thanks Mom, you're the best". :-) Warms my heart each time.

My just turned 5-yr old daughter loves this game. THANKS to the reviewers here, I gave her this game for Xmas after reading your reviews. It does contain the games for both Smart Girls and Smart Boys Playhouse. Easy to understand, good, clean, wholesome fun! Contained piano, coloring, matching games, maze, etc...great price here, too! Recommended for beginner DS gamers!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great game for younger kids, February 3, 2009
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Smart Kid's: Gameclub (Video Game)
I bought this game for my 3 and a half year old. He loves to play video games (not that I enjoy promoting this!) but this is a cute game for younger kids (I'd say 7 and younger). It is easy enough for them to figure out how to play the game on their own. At first I had to help him a bit, but before long he figured out how to do everything completely on his own. The good part is that some of the games are educational (matching game) and I have noticed improvement in him playing the games. So, I would like to think it is working his brain a little bit. I highly recommend this for youngsters who have a DS in the house. Also, there are girl and boy games on this one, so it's sorta the best of both worlds. He will play both games, but he likes the boy games more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Smart Kids Gameclub...Is a Smart Choice!, December 28, 2008
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Smart Kid's: Gameclub (Video Game)
I bought this game for my 3 year old son for Christmas. Not having played one of these type of games, I was not sure what to expect. After playing the game and watching him play it...I will be buying the rest of them in the series. This game has alot of different activities that keep a childs attention suprisingly. I feel I made a very wise decision in getting this for him. I recommend this to anyone looking for something to keep the little one entertained and educational at the same time.

I purchased this game for our 4 year old. He loves playing it. Surprisingly enough, our 7 year old daughter also enjoys playing the "girl" version of this game which is in the same cartridge. It was money well spent. It includes puzzles, matching, counting, find the differences, driving, dress-up, and music to name a few.

Thank you, previous reviewers for recommending to buy this one over the gender based games. My son loves ALL the games on it! He got it yesterday, went to bed playing it last night and when I woke up, I found him playing with it this morning. I asked him if he liked it and he said "YEAH! I LOVE IT!"
...that was worth the price of the game right then and there. :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for 3-4 year old!, December 28, 2008
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Smart Kid's: Gameclub (Video Game)
My daughter loves this (she just turned 4 last week). It's the only DS game that she can do with NO help. It keeps her busy for hours. Her sisters (7, 11 and 14) have picked it up and played with it, and they say it's actually kind of challenging. There are so many games to choose from so it takes a while for the kid to get bored with it! I'd recommend it for children who are either not reading or are beginning readers, because they will be able to succeed with this game. Once they start reading well, I can see how this would be boring and they'd need to move on to more challenging games.

I bought this Smart Kids game for my son and he loves it! He can play all different types of games and it keeps him amused for hours. I recommend it to all moms/dads who need a little bit of breather time during the day!!
