I wanted something a little more specific to the African American child in terms of race and self esteem considering the prejudice that my child will have to come to terms with.
This book only offered one chapter on that and not a very insightful one.

This book was an interesting read. As a parent I felt the suggestions and ideas where doable and 'smart'. I'd recommend it to any parents, black or white.
