Lubrication is the most important gun maintance activity you can perform. Lubricating your gun with sleek prevents o-ring failure and prevents excess wear and tear on moving parts. Many people feel the cost of sleek is high and so choose to use a common gun lube or vaseline. Let me tell you this is a BAD idea. O-rings are a vital paintball gun component and require special care. O-rings can easily break down in the presence of corrosive lubrincants and chemicals, they are especially susceptable to petroleum distilates. Petroleum is often used as the carrying agent for many lubricants like teflon, silicon, dw 40, etc. The prescence of these petroleum distilates makes them damaging to o-rings, because of this many people ruin their paintball guns. Sleek provides an easy no question solution. It is dow 33 which contains none of these chemicals and is perfect for silicon o-rings and the bolts. I find that this lube stays functional in all temperatures and is amazingly resilient. It lasts me several outings. I would reccomend this lubricant to anyone looking to extend the life of their gun and for everyday care.

The smart parts shocker lube is an excellent product. It is light weight, but still provides adequate lubrication. I used this product to lubricate around the o-rings on my tank and barrels and after cleaning my marker twice, the lube is still there. Furthermore, the lube does not attract dust. If used spearingly, one tube of lube will go a long way.

As someone who owns five paintball markers, I've had to do a lot of maintenance since I picked up the sport almost a decade ago. So when I say that Sleek is the best at what it does, I know from experience.

When used properly, Sleek does its job and does it well. My Ion has had zero internal maintenance problems since I've started using Sleek, and that's with a lot of use and punishment.

Just keep in mind that this is NOT marker oil, so don't use it as such. It's grease, and it does its job well, but using it instead of oil where you're supposed to put oil can be a recipe for disaster.
