Product Description

The original popcorn factory is a great way to make fresh popcorn the old-fashioned way. Simply put real popcorn on the tray, put on the lid, and pop. The built-in dispenser allows you to add butter or other toppings while popping. Nothing tastes better than fresh popped popcorn.

Wife bought this little popcorn popper. Used it once and when she turned it upside down to take the lid off, the heating element broke away from its plastic base. I took it apart and used Gorilla glue to repair the two plastic support beams underneath the heating element. These 2 beams screw into the underside of the cast aluminum heating element and they had both broken away at their plastic base. While taking this thing apart, the ground wire on the back of the electric plug fell apart, so I had to use one of my own little electrically shielded connectors and recrimp and screw into the back of plug. Also while taking apart I noticed a flimsy piece of heat shielding that is meant to protect some wiring and the back of the electric plug, well this shielding had broken away from its fastening point, so I had to modify this shielding and re-install. Well I finally got it back together and we'll see if it works or goes up in a ball of flames. I think I'll keep my fire extinguisher handy.

Bottom line, this thing is cheaply constructed and almost appears it was meant as a model, never really to be used but just looked at on display. Made in China.

The popcorn maker comes with instructions to be done so the plastic container wont break. After following the instructions I got two uses from it before it cracked all the way through. It still works but not well and allows steam and butter out through the cracks.I don't think anyone should buy this just stick to a pot and stove or spend more money for a working popcorn maker because two batches of popcorn shouldn't cost you $30 plus the cost of butter, seasoning, and oil.

My Popcorn popper bowl cacked during first use. I followed the directions to season the popcorn popper bowl in the oven for 5 minutes, so the popper bowl will not crack during usage (didn't work). I was very disapointed that it cracked on its first use and only half the popcorn poped.

The cover cracked and failed after using once. An enclosed document says to contact the supplier if this happens. They will not respond.

I bought this for my 4 year old Carnival Theme Birthday party it went great with everything. Not to mentioned the kids loved it! Some of the moms asked where I got it. The popcorn taste great. We followed the instructions which is easy to follow. Makes a lot. Easy to use. I was nervous about burnt popcorn but it didn't burn. I love it! It came in earlier than I was expecting.
