4.0 out of 5 stars I put candles in it! But it's little too noisy for indoors
This is a great fountain, and easily worth the money even without the solar panel. It's easy to put together (just make sure the all the metal tubes are fully inserted). I've had this fountain for about 2 years, and the styrofoam gasket has nt worn out or leaked yet. I'm very happy with it. A couple suggestions:

For all fountains, water tends to get slimy...

3.0 out of 5 stars Satisfied with a little bit of work
This item arrived promptly. It was a little tricky to put together because there were no instuctions at all other than the picture on the box. The hose leading into the top bowl did not seal . After we caulked around the hole and hose the fountain worked . Looks great in our rose garden.

For all fountains, water tends to get slimy after a about a month. You can solve this with some anti-algae drops that are used in aquariums. (warning: not good for pets, read the label).
Buy some rocks and place them in the fountain for decorative effect.
I paperclip tealight holders to the inside of the upper bowls and float a few floating candles in the big bowl. If you aim the spouts away from the flames, you can have a waterfall AND a firefall. It looks outstanding!

My only complaint is that this is a NOISY fountain. The water pump is sized for a heavy water flow, which is fine for outdoors. But indoors the sound tends to overpower any other background noise. I tried to clamp the tubes or arrange my rocks lessen the sound, to no avail. I'm going try to retrofit with a smaller water pump so that I can enjoy the fountain indoors.

This fountain is pretty compact and fits nicely in a small garden, patio or on a deck. The set-up is fairly straight forward. Keep in mind that solar panel will generate enough power ONLY in full sun, but it does have an AC adapter if you prefer continuous operation.
