Our kids just got us this fountain for our anniversary. We put it in direct sun on our deck and it works perfectly - it looks and sounds great and the birds are enjoying it as much as we are already!

It looked nice when it first arrived, but in just a few weeks some paint started peeling off. For that much money I expected more.

Huge Disappointment,

I've had this birdbath for one Summer and am sorely disappointed. First of all, it is very top heavy and I had to fill the bottom section of the base with sand which wasn't an easy task because there was only a very small hole, and then I had to seal the hole so the sand would stay in. Worth the effort because it made it a bit more stable.Secondly, the solar panel does not store power, even for two seconds. When a cloud passes over on a sunny day, the fountain immediately stops. If a bird lands on the sunny side of the edge, the fountain stops. When a bird takes a bath, the fountain stops. Worst of all, it is painted. This was unexpected as I assumed it was dyed green resin or plastic. The paint has peeled inside the bath and does not look attractive at all. Each time I cleaned it more paint peeled. I'm not sure if it's plastic or resin but whatever material it is made of, it has bubbled in the sun. It's not the paint that bubbling, it's the actual material of the bath. I'm in the Northwest so it never gets overly hot here, in fact this year we had a very cool summer. Huge disappointment. |
