Practical wisdom regarding comparison shopping, label information, unit pricing, and product safety will provide clear consumer guidance. For home catalog shoppers, "Naderesque" advice is offered about the value of reading the small print, the warranty, and the exchange policy. For those who might be easily duped, there's a section on scams, truth-in-advertising, chain letters, and pre-paid "bargains."
