We bought this for our 5-year-old son and he has enjoyed putting together the different animal puzzles. It kept him occupied for about 30 minutes at a time during a car trip. He sometimes needs help with the puzzles but has been able to follow the diagrams and put together many of the puzzles by himself. The puzzle book is a handy size and has over 20 different puzzles to make - the magnets and book fold together keeping everything neatly stored and ready to use again and again. We will likely buy some of the other tangoes puzzles for future trips.

The tangos that we already owned have large cards that you fit the tiles onto. The travel version has two little books of cards bound into it (so you won't lose them) and on the front is a picture of the shape you are trying to make. on the back when you flip the little page is the picture broken up into the shapes, but there isn't one that is the same size as the tiles. Just so you know - that is more difficult. My four year old is really good at this stuff and he's just figuring it out a little bit. I told him to use the back pictures for now and that's ok but he needs more help than with the big version. We still love it and when he's older may get the other sets. but for now, it is just good to know that it is more difficult - for a little bit older kids than mine. Other info: good size, good feel. seems durable. Easy to pack up by the kid. Very slim little book that fits into diaper bag pockets, travel bags, purse...

Apparently they do not show the right picture with this but this review is for the item listed above. This is a cute little kit that is fun and easy to travel with. I use it while on road trips. It has semi-soft foam pieces that are magnetic and have two sets of cards that are fasened to the book. It is very conveient. The only downside is that it only has about 24 or so puzles and I have done them all. I came up with the idea of using the cards for the Classic tangoes game I have and punching holes in them then attaching a binder ring so that I could attach it to this kits binder. That way I will have more challenging puzzles. Lots of fun. I have the objects puzzles too, haven't had a chance to work with these though.

My two year old also enjoys playing with it with me. She does not know how to do any of the puzzles persea but she enjoys putting the pieces to fit next to one another.

small pieces makes it difficult for little hands to manipulate them, also not so easy to quickly identify the pieces and follow the pictures to create an animal. my son is a pretty smart 4 year old, who learned to read all by himself, but he' s having a hard time w/ this toy and so he looses interest... perhaps would be better for older kids. pro: it's great to take along in travels for it is small and pieces really dont fall of the board

These are terrific for a car ride, easy to transport and lots of fun to use. We took 3 different sets on a cross country road trip and we all (adults and kids) used them every day - for a month! The forms are magnetic and we didn't lose any pieces, which I had worried about. This is a great travel game and would be equally great on a plane or train trip. (Bonus points for being such a quiet activity for one.) We have continued to keep them in the car and use them anytime we have to wait somewhere - restaurants, doctors, etc... Tangoes are a lovely departure from our usual plugged in activities.

My daughter never gets tired of these. It is great for anyone on the go. She has had it for over two years and still plays with it.

Purchased as a gift for a 4 year old...now I hear his parents play with it more than the little one!! I have extensively played with this in my childhood and just loved it that these products are still available.

I really liked this toy. I think I liked it more than my son. I just wish there was a better way to keep the magnets in the book. I have a toddler that just opens the book and pulls them out. A zip lock pencil bag would be great.
