By classifying their book as a report, it sounds as if the information is presented in tables and bureaucratic language. That is not the case in this book. The authors effectively organize studies and researched data in relevant categories and then present material in ways that make it truly applicable. It is easy to see this being used in a high school. In fact, my school could have used it if we had had effective leadership. This book is another victim of education reform. Great ideas, information, and materials, but lacking in leaders who know how to make effective change a reality. I recommend it to any administrator, teacher, parent, or student who is interested not only in raising academic levels, but raising democratic people at your school.

This study does a great job of showing the importance of character education and gives so many ideas on how to implement a character education program in your school/institution.
