4.0 out of 5 stars Solar Pill rocks
Several coworkers recommended the Solar Pill, so we tried the solar pill this year when we filled our pool. I think it worked great. Our pool water went from bone-chilling to very nice within 3 days time. It usually takes weeks to warm up a little. Chlorine & PH don't seem to be affected by it.

1.0 out of 5 stars This is not a toy
The Solar Pill did not make any difference re the evaporation rate of water from my pool. It also did not keep the pool temperature up. Next year I am going with a dolar cover.

You just use the supplied tool to poke a hole in the plastic Solar Pill and place the plastic "pill" in the pool skimmer basket until it empties it's content.

4.0 out of 5 stars Heater... No, not really, but Chemical saver yes, June 2, 2011
This review is from: Smart pool - SolarPill Liquid Pool Blanket 12000 - ETAP73
I've used these for two maybe even three years now. They didn't magically warm my pool but I noticed my chlorine was staying in my pool longer and I wasn't losing as much water to evaporation. I'm not impressed w/ the price. I have a 12,500 gallon pool and I use the big size. They were once much cheaper than this. Higher demand?

I either did not use it correctly or it failed. I though it away.
