Product Description

From the Manufacturer

From SmartGames, the worldwide leader in single player puzzle games, comes Bill & Betty Bricks. Construct skyscapers, block by block and layer by layer, flexing your logic muscles with this beautifully crafted 3-D wooden puzzle. Assemble the wooden blocks shown in the included booklet to construct a skyscaper. But remember: the construction workers must be able to climb to each new level of the skyscraper and the completed skycraper must have a flat roof. With simple challenges for inexperienced builders to complex puzzles that will challenge skilled architects, Bill & Betty Bricks is a fun way to develop logical thinking skills and spatial reasoning abilities.

Product Description

5 years & up. The sky is the limit! U. Build your way up with the wooden blocks, but make sure your builders always keep their feet on the building so they can supervise the work. You have finished the challenge when the building is completed and your little builder stands on top of it. Challenging for the whole family! . Contents:

In other words, no challenge whatsoever.

He can also simply play with the blocks and stack them up in funny ways, play a Jenga type game, or just have imaginative fun with the pieces.
Happy Mom
I would certainly recommend this to any parent wishing to provide their child with a challenging and thoughtful game.

My daughter adores logic puzzles and has eight of them now, seven of which are made by SmartGames. I recently went on a bit of a buying spree because we had an 18-hour car ride ahead of us (and 18 hrs back) plus her birthday is next month. This review is to address something I didn't see in any of the reviews I read--and granted I was in a bit of a hurry--which is the appropriate age range for the games as they compare to one another, ie if you are deciding between games.

IN MY EXPERIENCE, the lower end of the age range is most appropriate. For example, Night and Day is listed as 36mos-6 years but my girl who turns five next month does the puzzles without having even to think about them. In other words, no challenge whatsoever. We just bought it and already it's obsolete.

Luckily, inside one of the games was a "US Collection" brochure which lists all SmartGames and their target age. If you are hunting around for a logic game and aren't sure where to start, use this chart. And yes, they really are this age-specific. I can see an obvious progression in required thinking/logic skills between a recommended age 3 game, a recommended age 4 game, and the recommended age 5 games. (And no wonder she's not interested in Anti-Virus--it's for seven-year-olds! Something I failed to notice as I got caught in the "clicking around amazon" rabbit hole.) Anyway, here is the info from the catalog:

3+ Day & Night
3+ Castle Logix
3+ Trucky 3
3+ SmartCar

4+ Camelot Jr (we have gotten hours of play out of this one)

5+ Bill & Betty Bricks
5+ Color Code
5+ Pirates Hide & Seek
5+ the GoGetter games 'Cat & Mouse' and 'Prince & Dragon'
(These are exactly the same game just themed differently.

If you had liked camelot Jr or other smart games, do not think twice. This is excellent. It has wizard levels too. Colour could have been much brighter.

I love smart games. I love to sit with my kids and figure these out together, but they will also sit and entertain themselves for quite a while.

I love everything SmartGames has to offer. This one is fantastic for my 6 year old, he loves the challenge, and I love watching his brain at work as he tries to figure this out!

A great logic game from Smart Games that follows on from Camelot Jr. Teaches children how to think things through and work things out logically when the bricks don't fit quite as they think they should.

Children have to keep Bill and Betty with their feet on the building as they correctly build the challenge shown. Starts off easy & progressively gets harder. The builders can only climb one level at a time!

Highly recommended :)

We bought this for our 5 year old son. It's perfect for him. He's a bright boy, and he finds this game challenging. I'm sure this will challenge any intelligent child from 5 to 9 years old.

The toy is made from solid wood. Quality is very good. The box is very nice for storing the pieces. This game should last for years (decades) if stored and kept properly.

We also have Castle Logix and Royal Rescue (although I think they changed the name), which are similar games from the same company, in that you have wooden pieces that you have to assemble to solve some sort of puzzle. This game is of similar quality and craftsmanship. I would certainly recommend this to any parent wishing to provide their child with a challenging and thoughtful game.
