this is definitely a low-end photo frame, and costs like it. this is no equal for frames costing $200-400.

similar models to the smartpants are often available at closeout prices, this frame is also known as the gigaexpo p350 and radio shack digital photo frame 63-1078 (discontinued).

this frame has significant limitations. the biggest issue for most people is in the jpeg decoding. there is a program available from willus.com/archive called rsdpv.exe that will resize your images and use the proper jpeg encoding and naming scheme to make the viewer happy.

the angle of view could be better, and i'm told that the tv video output is terrible so don't bother.

but for a budget frame at a budget price, if your expectations are set properly, this is a nice little unit.

MAKE SURE YOU download rsdpv.exe or the pictures you load into it will not work! radio shack should have thought of this. "youve got questions they got no answers"

I bought this item for my husband for Christmas and after purchasing a memory card for this item, we were unable to view the pictures. I called the company that manufactures this product and they were clueless about how to help. They passed me around to a few people who actually said that "this is a new product and we don't really know how to fix problem." I was outraged. This was a waste of money and a lot of time trying to get the pictures to show up!

Doesn't work with edited .jpg's, cheap plastic, and small screen make this device useless. To rotate a .jpg, they actually tell you to turn the unit on it's side in the manual! Better products are surely on the way ...

I just purchased this as a Christmas gift and the pictures displayed very nicely. The only setbacks for this product

1)the display is very small (but for a little over $100 I guess it's ok)and

2) when trying to view the picture on the television, it doesn't display properly.

If you want to view pictures from a memory card all you will need to do is plug in the frame, insert your memory card and turn on the power button.

I am NOT a photographer, and bought this as a gift for my husband. After downloading the tool which resizes and names the photos [...] I found it easy to set the frame up for use. My husband will get it next week fully functional and with a media card preloaded with some of his favourite pics. I like it!

Got this picture frame for Christmas. I followed all the directions exactly as written in the guide. Stored my JPG pictures on the SD flash card successfully. I could not get any images to appear on the small screen. I tried several more times, making sure the files were named correctly and stored in the correct folder, but nothing worked. Waste of money!!

I already had the smartparts 2.5 inch and the picture quality is good oh that one. not so much on the 3.5 inch model.

I bought several of this items as a gift. Stay away if you want them for yourself.
